Best time to exercise??
Fantastic article from one of my favorite Dr.'s... Dr. Mercola :)
Thought this was worth posting for my Freedom friends :)
"Breakfast and exercise are two of your most important health strategies. But it may surprise you to find out that exercising in the morning has special benefits.
A large number of studies have actually been done on this aspect of exercise, and it turns out that the best time, for most people to exercise, is during the morning hours.
Why Exercising in the Morning is Best
What these studies found was that compliance, in other words, your ability to persistently maintain your exercise regimen, on a regular basis, increases when you exercise in the morning.
When you schedule your exercise later in the day, invariably you will have something competing for that time, and you’re likely to miss it..
In addition, exercising at night has another disadvantage.
Exercise tends to rev up your system at a time when you’re better off relaxing and preparing for bed. So, you really want to avoid exercising aggressively later in the evening.
I would strongly recommend you exercise in the morning if at all possible as it will radically increase your compliance to this crucial activity. You probably already know this, but let me repeat it, you simply will never achieve optimal health if you aren’t exercising.
If you’re able to do that, then I would also recommend you delay your breakfast until after you’re done exercising.
Don’t You Want to Feel This Good?
This past weekend I was in southern Florida with my executive team on a planning retreat and I had a chance to run on some white sand beaches. During my run I was reflecting on just how wonderful it is to be fit. It makes all the difference in the world to be fit, strong, flexible, and pain free. To have ALL the energy you need to do anything you want to in life.
Guess I was just so HIGHLY appreciative that pioneers in natural medicine were able to outline these principles so I could learn and apply them. I really feel I am reaping the rewards as I feel better than I have my entire life.
And it really isn’t that hard. Once you feel as good as I do, you NEVER want to lose that feeling and it becomes very easy to maintain your exercise program and keep it going strong. It is one of the BEST investments you could ever make in your life.
For a mere few hours a week of minor discomfort, you get over 25 times as much time feeling great. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
I am also sure you realize that NO ONE can delegate this out. You simply have to do it for yourself. You can hire a chef and house cleaner but ultimately you are the only one that can get yourself in shape.
Just remember you need a BALANCED exercise program. Just jumping on a treadmill at your gym will NOT produce this level of fitness. You need to add good flexibility training like yoga, great core training like Pilates, strength training, and anaerobic speed work. Once you combine ALL of these types of exercises, you will have the fitness that you truly deserve.
The comprehensive approach also radically reduces your risk of injury, which is common with many who only use one type of exercise to achieve fitness."

It's that time again :) Weigh In ~ Week 30 ~
Tis' time once again!!
Can you believe it??
Man, where does time go?
sigh....
ok ok..enough of the chit chat......
I actually measured my waist this month too.. been meaning to do that, but keep forgetting...
My goal is to get this belly under 32' inches.... I am at a 35' inch waist! So cool!
So here is my weigh in results!
162 LBS!!

Down 5 more lbs!!!
Woo hooooo!!!!
O man... I cannot tell you how wonderful it feels!! I am sure you know!!
This month, I felt my body drop in size, if that makes sense?
I can officially say that I am no longer a size 13/14'ish.... I am now a comfy size 12!!! Woo hoo!!!
Broke out my box of "skinny" clothes.. and have been having fun going through them, shopping in my own clothes box! Feels so great!
Thankyou, Jesus for freedom!!
On a super honest note tho, I have to tell you, I have felt some fear rising up in me....
It's been a very very long time since I was this close to 160 lbs.... a very long time!
I hear the enemy of my heart whispering his taunts again...
Words like,
Soon you will be jumping back into eating whatever you want, and up will go the scale again.
You can't do it!
You are going to fail AGAIN!
BUT, some really encouraging news is more and more, I have to tell you, the voice of my Father is way louder.... His heart, and His truth has been helping me combat the lies of my enemy.
My Father's look, His heart, His truth answer EVERY stinkin' lie!
You have learned new skills, and are not the same person that would have jumped back into old eating patterns... that scale will NOT be going up.
Yes, YOU CAN DO IT with ME by your side... YES YOU CAN!"
You might stumble, you might fall, but there is NO failure in getting back up and trying again.
Just keep walking forwards... keep walking forward with Me, and YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS!
These might sound cheesy, but they are truth! And, they shut up those fowl lies.... everytime!!
That is all the devil knows to do, don't you know? LIE! It's all lies!
Truth will shut those up, and Truth will set your heart free!
Oh! Oh! And just as promised, hear is a pic, my honey took just this past Sunday... me with real clothes on, hair actually done, and a little paint on the barn ;)

Choose life today!
Choose FREEDOM today!
It's for you!
It's for me!

Junk Food Turn Rats Into Addicts...
One more post for today...
This was just fascinating!
Here is the article... let me know your thoughts!
From Science News to boot!
" Junk food elicits addictive behavior in rats similar to the behaviors of rats addicted to heroin, a new study finds. Pleasure centers in the brains of rats addicted to high-fat, high-calorie diets became less responsive as the binging wore on, making the rats consume more and more food. The results, presented October 20 at the Society for Neuroscience’s annual meeting, may help explain the changes in the brain that lead people to overeat.
“This is the most complete evidence to date that suggests obesity and drug addiction have common neurobiological underpinnings,” says study coauthor Paul Johnson of the Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, Fla."

The Beautiful Truth!
More and more as I walk out this area of freedom, I have to tell you, I have come to a HUGE conclusion!
Sugar made me fat.
It's an incredible resolve that I have come to.
The truth.... my body takes anything white and says, "Thankyou, we will just store this right over here for later."
I mean, I knew it was a large part, but seriously, it is THE reason!
Whoa, some breakthrough right? lol!
But seriously, I feel more and more strongly about white sugar in all it's forms. It made me fat, and would have eventually killed me through obesity related disease and medical conditions!
Plain and simple!
Anywho, I wanted to share something with my you, my freedom friends!
I have a new found treat in my life... I am NOT a big prime time TV watcher.. but my hunny found a really wonderful treat online.
It's through Netflix... we just purchase their basic $9.00 one at a time movie service...but the added perk is that you can watch unlimited online movies.
So we just hook up our little computer to the TV, and poof, a fabulous movie night in a snap!
Anywho, I really love great documentaries. When we had cable years back, I loved to DVR documentaries and watch them when I could.
Netflix has some awesome online documentaries.... one that I watched lately was called,
The Beautiful Truth.
I wanted to post about it on here. There is so much that we don't know that we are told is ok... but the truth is, it's not!
If you get a chance, I would so love for you to watch this documentary.
I was so inspired by this film on my quest for health and freedom.
It so spurred me on in my journey!
I hope it does the same for you.
Will you consider changing your lifestyle for your health?
Not how you look on the outside, but for your insides?
For your children?
For your husband?
If you knew that what you were eating was poison, and WILL make you sick one day, would continue to eat it?
It's not a question of IF you will get sick, it is a question of WHEN.

Ugh! Ack! Grrrr....
Sneaky sneaky little bugger!
This past year has been very stressful, but this past month has been unbelievable...
NO excuses for running to food, right?
Wrong! Obviously, I have found it is ok to do just that, but not sugar mind you... nope.. just anything and everything else!
Oooooh, yes! Been eating WAY too much, and filling my stomach way past full.
sigh.
Even tho the face isn't sugar, it is still emotional, and it is still running to the wrong thing for comfort.
So, here I am, confessing.... ugh!
AND, I have been just wanting to check out all the time too... so that means being on my computer way too much.
Too much Facebook lurkin'.... too much blog readin'... too much checkin' my email... just too too much!~
Anybody have any computer rules that they abide by?
So, well, there ya have it!
It ain't always purdy is it? And I would be a hypocrite to NOT share EVERYTHING with you.
yep... there... phew.. now it's ALL out there! ha ha!
I am going to bring this to my Abba, my God, work it out with Him... cry, journal, hash it out!
With that! Here is a quote I read, and this is for me as much as for you! :)
"Success isn't how many times that you fall, it's how many times you get back up!"
Hugs..
